    Public Skating Schedule

    The ice skating rink season lasts from November 1st to March 30th.

    Public Skating Hours
    Monday 12 -1:30 pm
    Wednesday 12 -1:30 pm
    Friday 12 - 1:30 pm and 8 - 9:20 pm
    Saturday 12 - 1:20 pm and 6 - 7:30 pm
    Sunday 12 - 1:20 pm and 6 - 7:30 pm
    We accept cash or checks only for admission and skate rental fees.

    Special Events during Public Skating throughout the season
    (Cash and checks only)

    Sunday November 16
    Annual Food Drive 2 - 5 pm

    Admission and skate rental free with $5 non-perishable foods donation
    Saturday - Date and time TBA
    Toys for Tots Drive
    12 - 1:20 pm session AND 6 - 7:30 pm session

    Bring a new unwrapped toy and receive free admission and rental skates
    Monday December 31
    New Year’s Eve Skating Party 7:00 pm - 12:30 am

    Cost is $15 per person includes refreshments, rental skates, extended skating time from 7:30 – 11:30pm and then we watch the ball drop and ring in the New Year with noise makers and party hats! Tickets will be sold in advanced and may be purchased at the door the night of the event.
    Saturday March 14
    St. Patrick’s Day Public Skate Session 6 - 8:30pm

    Special extended skate time! Enter the raffle of your choice! The Luck O’ the Irish may help you win a prize! One raffle ticket with each paid admission for public skate.

    Additional Public Skating hours are available during the holidays and winter breaks.

    Stick Time, Pick-up Hockey and Freestyle/ Power-Stroking
    Stick Time (Adults Only, 18yrs. & Older) $10/person
    Monday 8:30 - 9:30 pm
    Tuesday 10:30 - 11:30 pm
    Sunday 9 - 10 pm
    Stick Time (All Ages) $10/person
    Friday 9:30 - 10:30 pm
    Sunday 8 - 8:50 am and 7:40 - 8:40 pm
    Note: All stick time and pick up hockey participants are required to wear full gear. Full gear requirements are gloves, all pads, and a helmet with a cage, shield or half shield.
    Pick-up Hockey (Adults Only, 18 yrs. & Older) $10/person
    Monday 10 - 11 pm
    Wednesday 10:30 - 11:30 pm
    Thursday 10:30 - 11:30 pm
    Freestyle/Subscription Ice
    $10 per person per session - cash or check only
    Private coaches will need to give Insurance certificate to the rink office prior to lessons on these sessions.

    Peak hours are from Friday 3pm to Monday 6am, and all day on holidays and school vacation days. Non-Peak hours are Monday 6am to Friday 3pm
    Rink is available for Private Rentals, Fundraisers, Corporate Events.

    Route 95 to Route 91 North Exit 5 (2 miles): State Street Light at bottom of ramp Sharp left under highway Rink is immediately on right

    From the North
    Route 91 South to exit 6
    Left at bottom of ramp under highway
    Right at light: State Street, 1/2 mile to light
    Bear right under highway
    Rink is immediately on right

    Alternate Construction Detour Directions

    From I-91 south
    Exit 4, take a right
    At light take right onto State Street
    Follow about 1/2 mile to rink (rink on left)

    From I-91 North (and I-95 to I-91 North)
    Take Exit 5 State Street
    Right at end of ramp on James Street
    Right on Humphrey Street
    Right on East Street
    Right on State Street

    Learn to Skate Lessons

    Learn to skateAll classes are open to children and adults.
    Classes are held at two different time slots.
    Registrants may choose either
    1:35 - 2:25 pm OR 2:45 - 3:35 pm

    Cost is $100 per person each session. If rental skates are needed, an additional $25 fee will be charged for each 7 week session. First time registrants are required to pay a one-time fee of $25 for USFSA membership.
    Session I: every Saturday November 1 - December 13
    Session II: every Saturday December 20 - January 31
    Session III: every Saturday February 7 - March 21

    Lil' Elm Skating Club

    Walker Rink Lil Elm Skating ClubYour tot (3 - 5yrs.) can learn to skate! Classes consists of a 20 minute group lesson and 30 minute practice / on-ice games. Members of the Elm City Skating Club meet for group lessons every Wednesday at Walker Ice Rink from 3:30pm - 4:20pm. All skaters must wear gloves, helmet and loose fit clothing.

    Cost for Session 1 (7 weeks) is $100 per person.
    Cost for Session II (7 weeks) is $100 per person.
    Cost for Session III (ONLY 5 weeks) is $75 per person.
