Most of the Consumer Health Information Network collection is located on the lower level of the downtown branch of the New Haven Free Public Library.

The collection aims to provide accurate and timely information on a variety of health topics of interest to the consumer. Although primarily written for lay people the collection also includes more technical materials and professional literature such as journal articles and textbooks. The collection contains information in book format as well as pamphlets, videos and online sources.
