    Ask a Local History Question

(See also Obituary Search Service or Newspaper Article Search Service)

This service provides brief answers to factual questions and referrals to sources or other organizations. Questions not related to local history or genealogy cannot be answered with this form; call 203-946-8130 to have these questions answered.

Ask a short, specific question, such as "When did Malley's department store close?" Time does not permit us to answer questions like "Please give me any information you can find about Malley's department store." If photocopying is requested, service charges apply.

Although the library does not have an extensive genealogical collection, we will answer your question as time and our sources allow. For genealogy questions, please include full names, dates and cities of residence. FamilySearch also provides genealogical information.
