BE AWARE. IT IS ILLEGAL TO PARK BEYOND THE POSTED TIME LIMIT
The majority of parking meters are in effect from 8:00am until 9:00pm, Monday through Saturday. Beginning at 8:00am, all posted time limits are enforced. If you are parking on a block that has a posted time limit, you can not park on that block for more than the time posted. In order to not be in violation, a vehicle must be moved one city block or 500 feet for it to be out of the timed zone. After 5:00 pm, there are no time limits associated with any meter. That means after 5:00pm, you can pay all the way up until 9:00pm. Please check each meter for rate and time limit.
Exceptions to this regulation are parking meters that are posted with no time limits. These are currently regulated from 7:00am until 9:00pm. Handicap parking meters are also meters that do not have time limits. View the current on-street parking meter map.
All meters within the city accept U.S. coins as payment, as well as Parkmobile. Many of the meters throughout the downtown area accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards.
