Plant a Tree
As part of the nation's oldest public tree planting program, the City of New Haven has pledged to plant 10,000 trees over the next 5 years. Each year, the City will fund 1,000 trees directly, and engage with community partners to plant another 1,000 trees. The Urban Resources Intiative (URI) works closely with the City to manage the tree planting program, and has been assisting residents and community groups with tree plantings all over New Haven. Visit URI at http://www.yale.edu/uri. To find out more about the program, and what species you can request, you can visit the City's Parks Department's Adopt a Tree page. |
