Curbside and Drop-Off
There are now several ways to dispose of your recyclables. Curbside recycling is available to all residents in residences with six units or less. However, the Recycling Center is open for drop-off to all New Haven residents.

The City is rolling out a new curbside recycling program. Public Works will collect recycling in the existing 96-gallon toters, and trash in new 48-gallon bins. Please Use the Following Containers:

Recycling Center Drop Off
Residents, businesses, and institutions that generate small quantities of recyclables can bring them to the New Haven Recycling Center. The list of recyclables can be found here.
Hours
The recycling center is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00am - 12:00 noon.
Location
The Center is located at the City's Transfer Station at 260 Middletown Avenue. To reach the Transfer Station from downtown New Haven, take I-91 North to Exit 8. Turn left at the end of the exit. From State Street, take a right off Ferry Street, then a left onto Middletown Avenue. The Transfer Station will be located a half mile on the left.
