    Curbside and Drop-Off

There are now several ways to dispose of your recyclables. Curbside recycling is available to all residents in residences with six units or less. However, the Recycling Center is open for drop-off to all New Haven residents.

    • Use 96-gallon toters for recycling

    Recycling Center Drop Off

Residents, businesses, and institutions that generate small quantities of recyclables can bring them to the New Haven Recycling Center. The list of recyclables can be found here.

    Hours

The recycling center is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00am - 12:00 noon.

    Location

The Center is located at the City's Transfer Station at 260 Middletown Avenue. To reach the Transfer Station from downtown New Haven, take I-91 North to Exit 8. Turn left at the end of the exit. From State Street, take a right off Ferry Street, then a left onto Middletown Avenue. The Transfer Station will be located a half mile on the left.
