Climate Change
In 2004, the City of New Haven issued its Climate Change Action Plan in collaboration with ICLEI, a world-wide consortium of local governments addressing climate change issues.
The Yale Community Carbon Fund is a joint project of the Yale Office of Sustainability, and the Yale Center for Business and the Environment. The Fund invests in local projects to reduce carbon emissions.
In 2011, the Fund partnered with the City of New Haven Office of Sustainability to provide 125 programmable thermostats to low-income residents who were part of the City's larger home assessment initiative.
