Mission Statement: The Small Business Initiative has a mission to advocate, within City government and in the community at large, for the benefit of all New Haven small businesses including small construction companies by ensuring that there are appropriate types of products and services available in the market place to help these entrepreneurs succeed and grow to their potential. SBI seeks to provide unique resources including low costs loans and technical assistance, by leveraging the financial services community, private institutions and the local construction industry to provide opportunities that would otherwise not be made available to small business enterprises.
