Eligibility/Applications

Your company is eligible for registration in the Small Contractor Development Program if it meets the following requirements:

1. Your company works in a Construction or Construction Related industry:

• Construction = Work involving any type of engineering, construction (including demolition, renovation or repair work)
• Construction Related = Work including the different or allied building trades whose work is necessary for the completion of a construction project

2. It has been in business under the same ownership and management for a period of at least one year

3. It has maintained the principal place of business in the New Haven Market Area for a period of at least one year

4. It has earned gross revenues have not exceeded $3 million dollars in the most recently completed year

The biggest value of SCD registration comes from Chapter 12¼ of the New Haven Code of Ordinances that directs City of New Haven departments and agencies to use the services of contractors registered in the program.
