Small Purchases Policy
Procurement by Direct-purchase of $1500 for a single purchase related to
mechanical plumbing, electrical and carpentry. Other exceptions include yearly
subscription or membership fees, personal reimbursements, mileage, travel,
maintenance contracts, etc.
Procurement by On-line Quote are to be used if the services*, supplies, or other
property costing between $500 and $10,000. Under this condition City
Department's small purchases are acquired by obtaining (3) quotations on-line
(Internet or facsimile) from qualified sources.
Note* Service related purchases may require insurance, see General Information Section of this

general insurance requirements.
