New Haven Police are requesting help from the public to provide information that will lead to the apprehension and arrest of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of Troy Henderson.
Three years ago, On December 15, 1999, at approximately 1:14 a.m. in the morning, Troy Henderson, 33, was found dead in his vehicle, a gray Honda Civic hatchback, in the area of Barclay Street and Frank Street. He died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators have determined that Henderson and a passenger were traveling in the Truman Street area when a car began following their vehicle. The car, is described as a 4-door vehicle, burgundy or red, with tinted windows. Henderson drove his car through the Orchard and George Street areas and made his way back to the Hill section. In the process of re-entering Truman Street, shots were fired at HendersonŐs vehicle from the other car. HendersonŐs vehicle continued onto Barclay Street near Frank Street when he subsequently fell forward in the car from the gunshot wound he sustained. Several more shots were fired at HendersonŐs car before the other vehicle fled onto the Boulevard in the direction of Congress Avenue.
