Tips Hotline - Case 6: John Robinson Murder Investigation

The body of John Robinson, age 24, formerly of New Haven, was discovered within a locked office building at 178 Temple Street on March 14, 1990.  The cause of death was determined to be blunt trauma to the head.  At the time his body was discovered, investigators believe Robinson had been dead for approximately 48 hours.

Upon the request of New Haven State's Attorney Michael Dearington, then-Governor William A. O'Neil, in May of 1990, authorized a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of John Robinson.

We urge anyone with information concerning the murder of John Robinson to contact New Haven Police and call the New Haven Police TIPS Hotline, 1-866-888-TIPS

The person or persons who provides police with the information that results in an arrest and conviction in the case will receive the $20,000 reward. All calls will be kept confidential.
