One of the commitments made by the NHPD Training Division is to provide conferences and other educational opportunities on community policing-related topics to both police personnel and the community at large. Since 1990, many of these programs have been highly successful, and have drawn from 200-500 local, regional and national participants per major event.

In addition, our department produces a regularly scheduled cable television call-in program called The Police, the Community and You, which features police and community panelists and enjoys a growing community audience.

Virtually all of our in-house training is open to both sworn and civilian department personnel, and all conferences are open to the community at large.
