From Hartford and points North take I-91 Southbound and get off at Exit 1 in New Haven. This exit will put you on the Oak Street Connector. Continue on the Connector and get off at the third (final) exit, which will put you on North Frontage Road (at York Street). Continue west on North Frontage Road for approximately 1/2 mile. After you pass Greenwood Street, make the next right turn onto Sherman Avenue. Continue north on Sherman Avenue for approximately 1 1/2 miles. (Note that Sherman Avenue turns into Sherman Parkway.) After you pass Hillhouse High School on your left, go approximately 1/2 mile more and the New Haven Police Academy is the next brick building on your left.
From Bridgeport and New York take I-95 Northbound and get off at Exit 47 (left exit) in New Haven. This will put you on the Oak Street Connector. Continue on the Connector and get off the third (final) exit, which will put you on North Frontage Road (at York Street). Continue west on North Frontage Road for approximately 1/2 mile.
