Nature Pals

Winter 2013
New Location: Edgewood Park Ranger Station,
Edgewood Avenue and Hobart Street
Nature Pals is a weekly, nature-themed playgroup that meets in historic Edgewood Park in New Haven, CT. The goal of Nature Pals is to make nature accessible to children at an early age, and to build a community of local families that enjoy and support Edgewood Park. Nature Pals is designed for children ages 2 to 5. Each week's meeting features a different nature theme, with activities including story time, outdoor exploration (weather permitting), snack and a craft. Nature Pals is sponsored by the Friends of Edgewood Park.
$36 for 6 week session ($6/week).
$7/week drop-in rate.
Register for the whole session and save $$$!
Scholarships are available through the Friends of Edgewood Park.

All programs meet at the Trowbridge Environmental Center/Ranger Station and are free to New Haven residents except as noted. A donation of $2 per person is suggested for participants residing outside New Haven. The Trowbridge Environmental Center/Ranger Station is located on the corner of Cold Spring & Orange Streets, opposite Wilbur Cross High School.

Edgewood Park Farmers Market
The Edgewood Park Winter Market opens, in its winter location: the West Rock Avenue parking lot. The market will be open every other Sunday from 10 am - 1 pm
- Bodhichitta Farms: fresh produce and maple syrup.
- Two Guys from Woodbridge: organic hydroponic greenhouse farm that produces a variety of salad greens, shoots, microgreens, edible flowers and mushrooms.
- Riverbank Farm: certified organic greens and root vegetables, delicious farm made soups, prepared foods, and canned produce.
- Sankow's Beaver Brook Farm: sheep and cow's milk cheeses and yogurt, raw milk, lamb, veal, chicken and prepared foods from Lyme, CT.
- Sixpence Pie Company: pasties, meat pies, sweet pies, and quiches freshly made from local produce, meats, and dairy.
