CardioSkate™ offers a 50 minute workout that will elevate your heart rate and tone muscle through interval training on the ice. Participant must know who to skate forward, stop and feel comfortable on the ice. Gloves are required for all skaters and light dumbbells (3-5lbs.) are optional. Members of the Elm City Skating Club meet for group lessons every Saturday.
WeSkate™ members of the Elm City Skating Club - New Haven meet for group lessons at the Ralph E. Walker Ice Rink. Students will be grouped by age and skill level, although some classes may be combined. Each class consists of a 30 minute lesson and 20 minute practice session.
Lil’ Elm Skating Club - Your tot (3 - 5yrs.) can learn to skate! Classes consists of a 20 minute group lesson and 30 minute practice / on-ice games. Members of the Elm City Skating Club meet for group lessons every Wednesday at Walker Ice Rink from 3:30pm - 4:20pm. All skaters must wear gloves, helmet and loose fit clothing.

Judge's Cave Hike
Join us for a hike from the West Rock Nature Center to Judge's Cave in West Rock Ridge State Park. Learn about the geological history of the ridge and the story about how the cave got it's name. Bring a snack, water and comfortable clothing. Ages: 5+.

2011-2012 Winter Tennis ProgramsPee Wee Program
This program is designed for children in PRE-K and Kindergarten (ages 4-5) and are a half hour in length. Through games and targeted lessons, the participants will be able to control a ball and hit over the net with instructor support.Little Champs Program
This program is designed for children in first through fourth grade (ages 6-10) and are one hour in length. Utilizing the QuickStart format, the participant quickly is learning to rally the ball over the net and playing games.Beginner Clinics
This program is designed for youth in fifth through eighth grade (ages 11-13) and are one hour in length. Each hour long clinic will focus on a specific stroke; incorporating footwork drills and games to give the player the tools to begin to play competitive tennis in Jr. Team Tennis or on their middle school team.High School Beginner Clinic
This program is designed for the new high school player and is four hours over two consecitive weekends.
