Property Revaluation Community Meetings
Data collectors will be visiting your home soon for Property Revaluation. In compliance with Connecticut state statute, the City of New Haven is collecting data for the 2011 property revaluation. State law requires all municipalities to conduct revaluations every five years and to perform physical property inspections every ten years to ensure that taxes accurately reflect property values. During the collection phase, Vision Appraisal data collectors will visit each property and physically inspect the interior and exterior of each building, as well as the characteristics of the land. Attend a Community Meeting with the Tax Assessor to learn about this process. All meetings will take place at 6:30 p.m. and will be held: Tuesday, July 13th at Celentano School and Thursday, July 15th at Edgewood School.
