    Office Of The Mayor
    Dear Friends

I'd like to share with you the remarks I made at a celebration that was held last week to mark my tenure as Mayor. The reason I'd like to do so is that I am so thankful to the residents of New Haven. As you will see in the remarks, I have been inspired by you and have learned so much from you.

After 20 years serving as Mayor, I am not as young but I am more confident and more optimistic about our people, our City and our future than I was all those years ago.

No matter how hard I have worked, it has all been given back to me so many more times beyond anything that I have contributed. Each of you has been a meaningful part of the whole of the last 20 years in New Haven. And it is true - we have done some awesome things together!

So, Iíd like to offer my sincerest thanks to all of you for your spirit, commitment, caring and dedication to New Haven.

God bless you all and our City of New Haven.
