    Office Of The Mayor
    Dear Friends

On September 22 at 7 p.m., I will be hosting Mayor’s Night Out for Wards 23-30 at Mauro-Sheridan School, 191 Fountain Street. Mayor’s Night Out is an opportunity for residents in these wards to stop by and talk to City department heads and agency leaders about any questions, concerns or suggestions you may have. The following week, on September 28, we will be conducting a community canvass in the East Shore neighborhood, knocking on doors between 6 and 8 p.m. I also encourage you to stop by my office during Mayor’s Night In, beginning at 5 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month.

    Health Matters! Tip

Sleep is just as important as exercising for your health! Sleep deprivation can lead to weight gain and obesity, poor performance in school or at work and impair your ability to drive an automobile. Getting at least 7 hours a day of sleep for adults and 8 hours a day for children can improve overall health and well-being! For more information check out the CDC's Sleep Hygiene Tips: http://www.cdc.gov/sleep/hygiene.htm.

I hope you have a happy and healthy week!

    Very truly yours,

    John DeStefano, Jr.
