As summer winds down, there are still plenty of exciting things happening in New Haven. The Pilot Pen tennis tournament kicks-off this Friday and will continue through August 29th. For a complete schedule of Pilot Pen events and to purchase tickets, please visit: www.pilotpentennis.com. In addition to Pilot Pen, the annual New Haven Jazz Festival will also be taking place this weekend. Green Contractors Training School
I will be visiting New Haven’s Green Contractors Training School on Thursday, August 20th at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of this training school is to offer New Haven contractors the opportunity to become educated in environmentally-conscious building practices that will help to keep our City green.
Free Admission Day at Yale Peabody Museum

Mayor’s Green Tip
Rapid acceleration and braking can reduce fuel economy by one-third. By obeying the speed limit and avoiding these risky driving behaviors, you are not only creating safer streets but also reducing your fuel consumption.
