    Office Of The Mayor
    Dear Friends

Last week, I informed you about numerous summer activities for youth in New Haven. Here's another great option to add to the list!

Camp New Haven is a completely free camp for any New Haven resident between the ages of 8 and 12. Camp New Haven runs July 1-August 2 from 8 am to 5 pm on Monday through Friday (no camp on July 4th). Camp New Haven features swimming, hiking, weekly trips and presentations by expert speakers. Transportation, breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are provided. Applications and medical forms must be completed and submitted by June 14th.

For more information--and the application forms, go here .

This Sunday at Lighthouse Park Carousel: the 13th Annual Lead Awareness Picnic The New Haven Health Department’s Bureau of Environmental Health is teaming up with the Yale Lead and Healthy Homes Program to host the 13th Annual Lead Awareness Picnic in the Lighthouse Park Carousel Building on Sunday, June 9th, from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. This free community event aims to educate local families about childhood lead poisoning prevention through educational booths, giveaways and entertainment that parents and children of all ages can enjoy.
