Master Database of Municipal Data

The Microsoft Excel file below includes economic, educational, social and demographic indicators for sixteen towns in the New Haven area. Data include median sale price of residential property, median household income, per capita education spending, population figures, and much more. Data sources include the State of Connecticut, the U.S. Census Bureau, and private consulting firms such as Claritis and DataCore Partners. The database was updated as of February 28, 2001.

Demographic Data Summary Sheets

Data on population (including age breakdowns for 1990, 1995, and 2000), households, density, person per household ratios, and disposable income for each of the fourteen towns in the Regional Data Cooperative area, as well as totals for the entire area, are provided in the Microsoft Excel files below.

The level of accuracy of the data is 85%. Estimates are based on econometric modeling and mathematical ratios and do not represent a polling of individuals at the town level in any form. Please note that these data are subject to change and that summed figures may vary slightly due to rounding.

Connecticut Town and County Population Data

Connecticut population at the town level, categorized by race, is available in the Microsoft Excel file below. These data were compiled in collaboration with the Connecticut Economic Resource Center.

The following Microsoft Excel file derives from Tables 1-6 of the 2000 Census and provides data on the State, our eight counties, and some of our major cities and towns. As the data show, there was a continued outmigration from Connecticut's urban areas towards the suburban and rural regions.
