    Internet access is available at all computers in the Nonprofit and Philanthropic Resource Center. Some recommended Web sites include:

    • Foundation Center
      Information on foundations, corporate giving, etc., with links to grant-maker Web sites, statistical information, funding trends and analysis, an online library, Philanthropy News Digest, and Foundation Finder, a search tool providing information on 48,000+ foundations; searchable 990PF database. They also provide a topical bibliography for grantseekers and a free audiobook version of The Foundation Center's Guide to Proposal Writing, 5th edition by Jane Geever.

      Comprehensive information for CT nonprofit organizations.
    • GuideStar
      Financial, contact, and mission information on 700,000+ nonprofits, including Greater New Haven agencies; annotated links to nonprofit sites; searchable 990 PF database.
    • BoardSource
      Information and resources for building better boards.
    • GrantCraft
      A Ford Foundation project offering guides, case studies, videos, and other resources helpful to grant makers.
    • Internet Nonprofit Center

      Job postings from the federal government.
    • Action Without Borders
      Action Without Borders offers information on jobs, internships, academic programs, professional organizations, and volunteer opportunities.

      News, jobs, resources, advocacy, products, etc. with Connecticut focus.
    • Connecticut Commission on the Arts
      Information about competitions, awards, exhibits, grants, and employment in arts fields.
    • Council on Foundations
      A nonprofit membership association of foundations and nonprofits. This site offers technical and legal services; conference, workshop and job information.
    • Association of Fundraising Professionals
      Professional news, education and job opportunities.
    • Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance
      Information on federal programs available to state and local governments; tribal governments; U.S. Territories; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals.
    • Nonprofit Career Network
      Searchable job resource center and nonprofit directory.
    • Community Career Center
      Job postings; discussion groups.
    • Community Foundation for Greater New Haven
      Grant-making guidelines, community news, helpful Web links.
    • Chronicle of Philanthropy
      Comprehensive nonprofit resource. Library subscription enables complete online access: ask for password.
    • Sharinglaw.net
      Informational Web site of Lisa Nachmias Davis, New Haven attorney. Links to forms and government sites, local Connecticut resources, sites for grant-making and grant-writing.
    • United Way of Greater New Haven
      Community information including a virtual volunteer center, a calendar of events, and community Web links.
    • Charity Channel
      Development-office electronic discussion group as well as excellent resources to help nonprofit managers, including Don Griesmann's Grant Opportunities, a weekly subscription feature.
    • Charity Navigator
      Charity Navigator, America's premier independent charity evaluator, works to advance a more efficient and responsive philanthropic marketplace by evaluating the financial health of over 5,300 of America's largest charities.
    • Nonprofit Guides
      This site offers a 10-Point Grant Writing Guide designed to help you win grant funds for your organization. Resources include sample grant applications, funding proposals, and budgets. These guides are designed to assist established, experienced private and public non-profit organizations and entities.
