City of New Haven Democracy School

The City is now accepting applications for the Fall 2012 Session of Democracy School – an eight session course aimed at introducing residents to their local government.  Residents will get to talk to key administrators and decision-makers in city government and local politics.  City officials will talk about their work and lead question and answer sessions aimed at fostering open lines of communication, enabling participants to take full advantage of city resources, and empowering residents to become community leaders.

Democracy School meets every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at interesting locations across the City for eight weeks.  The Fall 2012 Session will begin Tuesday, September 11th and end Tuesday, October 30.

Interested? Download your Application Here.  Due by August 17th.

Or contact our Democracy School coordinator, Becky Bombero at 203-946-7663 or via e-mail at rbombero@newhavenct.net.   She can answer your questions and get you a paper application.  Spots are limited, so apply soon.
