City of New Haven Democracy School
This fall, the Office of the Mayor will be coordinating New Haven’s eighth - Democracy School – a seven session course aimed at introducing residents to their local government. Residents will get to talk to key administrators and decision-makers in city government and local politics. These leaders will make presentations on their roles and priorities, as well as engage in structured discussions with participants. Hopefully, this will serve as a pathway for participating residents to increase their leadership and involvement in the community.
The Democracy School begins Wednesday, September 2nd. It will meet every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in interesting locations across the city. Donated snacks from local restaurants will be served for admitted participants.
