Downtown Crossing TIGER II Application: The City of New Haven has applied for a $21.3 million TIGER II capital grant to convert CT-34 from a limited access highway to urban boulevards from Union Avenue to existing the Exit 3 / College Street. Project elements include bike/ped enhancements, modifications to two frontage roads, streetscape improvements and reconstruction of College Street to grade level.
