Yale Home Buyer Program




Yale University has established a first-time homebuyer program for its employees. In January 2008, The Yale Corporation voted to renew and increase the program by another 20%. The program provides up to $30,000 incentive for faculty and staff who purchase homes in New Haven neighborhoods. By mid-2008 Yale’s $21 million investment has benefited 835 new homeowners and leveraged $130 million in home sales. Check out the link below for more details.

In July, 2006 Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) announced a new program offering assistance to hospital employees who are first-time home buyers. The new Home Ownership Made Easier (H.O.M.E.) program provides eligible full-time employees up to $10,000 in forgivable five-year loans, as well as other incentives and home buying support, when theypurchase a home in the city of New Haven.
