    This department is charged with insuring that residents and visitors with disabilities have equal access to the City’s programs, services and activities.  We also strive to foster a welcoming and accessible community for individuals with disabilities through policy development, education and the formation of strategic partnerships with public, private and non-profit entities.

    InformationFor employees with disabilities of the City of New Haven and those applying for employment, below please find forms that you may need to request a reasonable accommodation during your employment or during your application process.     The City of New Haven does require all parkers at meters, even those with handicapped parking placards, to pay the metered parking rate within the specific requirements of that meter. To aid those individuals with disabilities that may have difficulty returning to meters when time is expiring, we offer vouchers for purchase.
