CSA MISSION STATEMENT
To improve the health and quality of life for all New Haven residents
Through strong collaborative relationships among all CSA Departments.

To reduce racial, cultural, and
social class disparities in defined health and social indicators for New
Haven residents.

To enhance the quality of life
for New Haven youth by reducing rates of:

Truancy and drop-out

Teen Pregnancy

Youth on youth violence

Substance abuse
-
Domestic violence
- To enhance the quality of life
for New Haven youth by increasing employability skills and workplace experiences.
- To promote self-sufficiency and resiliency in city neighborhoods through partnerships with Empower New Haven and other community based organizations.
- To expand access to resources and programs that will enhance opportunity and improve the quality of life for City residents.
- To provide a safety net of supports and services for the City's most fragile or vulnerable citizens.

Youth@Work
Youth@Work is a public-private partnership of the City of New Haven, the New Haven Board of Education, Workforce Alliance, the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and Empower New Haven established to provide underserved youth, ages 14-19, with year round and summer employment opportunities, career exposure and work readiness skills.
