Complaints Year 2011: 142 Civilian and 22 Internal. Complaints Year to Date 2012: 137 Civilian and 18 Internal
CRB Case Reading : first Tuesday and third Wednesday of each month 5pm to 7pm.
New Office Hours: M-F 9am to 5pm / Sat.-Sun. 9am-3pm (as of October 2012)
New IA Sergeants: Sgt. Jason Minardi (November 2012) and Sgt. David Taft (December 2012).

Reports by CRB:
CRB Panels A & B reported case reviews completed.
Training / Orientation: New members were advised that although they are still in training, they are encouraged to read cases and other panel members reviews, as well as write mock reviews to become familiar with the process. These mock reviews will not be filed with cases, but will be used as part of the training process.
Lena Largie and Noemi Rivera, having attended 3 meetings and participated in training /orientation were sworn in by Corp. Counsel. Staff Consultant R. Thomas will ensure that signed Confidentiality Statements are on file for both.
Board of Police Commissioners E. Ribeiro reported:
- The NHPD Graduation of Recruits will take place on Monday January 17, 2013, 4:30pm at Wilbur Cross High School, New Haven.
- A new class of recruits is planned for the spring of 2013.
- The new Sergeants list will be coming out soon.
- Project Longevity
It was reported that the role of the CRB is one of the topics to be addressed in the Charter Revision Committee proceedings. It was discussed and decided by majority that the CRB members (F. Cochran, B. Carroll, W. Hobbs, L. Largie and L. Radcliffe) would work on preparing a position for the CRB to present to the Charter Revision Committee, addressing particularly question #9 Should the Civilian Review board be changed at all, including giving the body more powers?.
There was discussion about an article that appeared in CT newspaper of residents concern that it was difficult to make complaints against officers through Internal Affairs.
A motion to adjourn was made, seconded, and approved unanimously.
