    International Festival of Arts and Ideas
    June 14-28, 2014

    The International Festival of Arts & Ideas is a 15-day extravaganza of performing arts, lectures, and conversations that takes over theaters and open spaces in New Haven, Connecticut each June. More than 80% of Festival events are completely free! Learn more...

    July 4th Fireworks Celebration
    Friday, July 4 at East Rock Park (rain date Saturday, July 5)

    A variety of family friendly activities and performances leading to the evenings fireworks exhibtions. 6-9pm. Families with small children are encouraged to enjoy the activities and fireworks from Wilbur Cross High School Field on the lower level. $5 Shuttle available to East Rock summit (limited to the first 250 cars). Food vendors on site. Fireworks begin at 9:15pm.

    Music on the Green
    July 19 Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards and July 26 Salt -n- Pepa . All concerts begin at 8pm. For more information visit www.infonewhaven.com

    New Haven Jazz Festival - August 2, 16, 23
    The Jazz Festival highlights regional and local talent through a series of performances in New Haven restaurants, clubs and the New Haven Green.

    August 2 - The Brubeck Brothers Quartet and the New Haven Symphony Orchestra

    August 16 - Nat Reeves Quartet Featuring Harold Mabern, Alí Bello & The Sweet Wire Band, Mike DiRubbo Quintet and the High School in the Community Jazz Band.

    Jazz In The Community August 15 - August 24 presents various performers in a variety of locations.

    August 23 - Jazz Foundation of America and Jazz Haven Present Harold Zinno Jazz Sextet Featuring vocalist Nicole Pasternak, Special Guest Appearance by Matthew Whittaker and Joe Lovano Trio Fascination plus special guest Judi Silvano. Performances begin at 6:30pm.
