    Mayor Tony HarpJazz, professional tennis, and school coming to New Haven: Dear Neighbors and Friends!

    For the rest of the month New Haven will again be the international focus of women’s professional tennis while the Connecticut Open Presented by United Technologies (www.ctopen.org) takes center stage at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale. Ten of the world’s top twenty-ranked women will compete in front of local, enthusiastic crowds. New Haven is always so proud to host this exciting, world-class sports event.

    Music lovers will also welcome the 2015 New Haven Jazz Festival, this year celebrating Women in Jazz. Presented by Jazz Haven in association with the New Haven Department of Arts, Culture & Tourism, and the Cultural Affairs Commission, the free festival will be held Saturday, August 22nd from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the New Haven Green.
