    Mayor Tony HarpNew Haven Shines Brightly in October: Dear Neighbors and Friends!

    As we flip the calendar to October the seasonís foliage sets a beautiful backdrop throughout New Haven. Even as overnight temperatures begin to drop, one of the cityís beautiful parks is a terrific place to spend free time during the day relaxing amidst this annual splendor.

    I offer special greetings this month to New Havenís Jewish residents who will celebrate the Jewish New Year and the high holy days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. I wish for them peace and contentment throughout the ten-day period of reflection, introspection, and atonement.
